The Seven Wonders of the World

Book Design, Bookbinding

A redesign of the book The Seven Wonders of the World: A History of the Modern Imagination by John & Elizabeth Romer, originally published by Henry Holt & Co. in 1995. The book tells the stories of "the making and unmaking" of these ancient wonders, with focuses on archaeology and ancient writings. As the book is quite old and on ancient subjects, the goal of the redesign is to give it a more modern look but also reflect the content of the book.

The final book consists of 432 pages, and is hand-bound in signatures.
